REPORT: Baskenta municipality confiscates Syrian refugees’ IDs

The tragedy of the Syrian nationals in Lebanon continues as refugees residing in Baskenta have been subject to a new measure imposed by the municipality.

In this regard, and as a result of a number of thefts and felonies committed in the town, the municipal police imposed on the refugees a tax of USD 100, and confiscated the identification cards of those who did not settle the payment.
