REPORT: Lebanese army conducts raid operations in Arsal, arrests several fugitives

Several persons were arrested on Friday on suspicion of belonging to the Nusra Front and the Abdullah Azzam brigades, a Lebanon-based al Qaeda affiliate.

This comes as troops from the Lebanese army's Airborne Regiment conducted a wide-range search for fugitives in Arsal camps.

The troops, escorted by Air Force helicopters, had also conducted raids in Arsal's barren range in search of gunmen.
