PM Salam expressed his hope that the United Arab Emirates reconsiders its latest warning in which it called on its nationals not to stay in or travel to Lebanon given the latest incidents, stressing that acts of terrorism are not only targeting Lebanon but the entire region.
On another note, PM Salam expressed his concern over the political situation in Lebanon, stressing that the constitution stipulates that the cabinet handles presidential prerogatives in case of vacuum at the presidential level.
Earlier, Salam stated that his visit to Kuwait aims at strengthening cooperation between Lebanese and Kuwaiti officials, adding that he will inform Kuwaiti officials on the situation in Lebanon as well as the issue of the Syrian refugees.
Upon his arrival to Kuwait, PM Salam was welcomed by his Kuwaiti counterpart, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, a number of Kuwaiti MPs and other senior figures, Lebanese ambassador to Kuwait Khodor Halawi and the Lebanese embassy's staff in Kuwait. For the full report, please click on the VIDEO above
