REPORT: LAF unit arrests cousin of Haret Hreik’s suicide attacker
The Army Command announced that an army unit arrested on Sunday at 1 pm 5 persons in Lebanon’s Bekaa on suspicion of belonging to a terrorist organization.

The Army Command added that Omar al-Satem, the cousin of Qoutayba al-Satem who implemented Haret Hreik’s first suicide attack, was among the arrested men.

As for the other arrestees, they were identified by their initials as Ibrahim Ali Breidy, Atallah Rashed al-Beri, Abdallah Mahmoud al-Bakour, and Jawdat Rashid Kamoun.

It is worth noting that the brother of Qoutayba al-Satem, who also identified as Omar al-Satem, has been in Syria for the past 2 years.

A powerful explosion shook southern Beirut, a stronghold of Hezbollah, on Thursday 2nd of January, killing at least 4 people and injuring over 77 others.

The explosion took place in al-Arid Street in Haret Hreik near Jawad restaurant only meters away from Hezbollah's political council, sources said.
