The families of those who were detained in the clashes between Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabbaneh cut-off on Thursday the main road linking Tripoli to Akkar.
The road was blocked at Abou Ali roundabout where protesters set up four tents Wednesday, stressing that they will not reopen the road until their relatives are released. The state-run National News Agency (NNA) reported on Wednesday that Ziad Allouki, one of Tripoli's axis leaders, was taken back to the Roumieh prison after undergoing medical tests.
As soon as news broke out on the state of his health a number of protesters blocked various roads in Tripoli with burning tires, demanding his release from the Roumieh prison.
