On Sunday, a unit from the Lebanese Armed Forces Intelligence Bureau raided the residence of Al-Hassan in Tripoli; however, the latter threatened to detonate himself if LAF members approach him.
In this regard, LAF soldiers tossed a grenade inside his residence, killing him before he detonates himself.
On the 26th of June, Lebanon's General Security circulated the photo of al-Hassan who was suspected to be the man who provided explosive belts to the network that was raided at the Duroy Hotel in Beirut's Raouche region.
Al-Monzer Khaldoun al-Hassan (24) holds the Swedish citizenship under the name of "Monzer Al Hassan".
A suicide bomber blew himself up at the Duroy Hotel in Beirut's Raouche region on Wednesday the 25th of June as General Security forces were conducting a raid, wounding several people, including members from the General Security.
The attack was the third blast in the country in less than a week.
