REPORT: USEK students block roads, protest against tuition increase
A number of students at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) staged on Monday a sit-in outside the university, denouncing the administration’s decision to raise tuition fees.

They also blocked the road outside the university's campus as well as all entrances leading to it.

In a statement, the students said they were surprised by the university's decision to raise the price of credits by 20%, which is equivalent to an average of $2,000 tuition increase for each student.

In this regard, USEK students asked their administration to reconsider "this unfair decision" and cancel the tuition increase due to the dire economic situation in Lebanon.
