Public Health Minister Wael Abou Faour stressed Wednesday that the ministry is following up on the breast cancer awareness campaign, through the participation of the governmental hospitals in its activities, noting that the early diagnosis of cancer contributes to full recovery in 90% of the cases and it also reduces the costs of treatment.
During the conference held at the Grand Serail to launch the national campaign to raise awareness of breast cancer, the minister pointed out that the rate of awareness is very low in the rural regions, calling for swift solutions for this issue.
