Ep7: KAFA's Zalfa says...

As part of our effort to shed light on women's rights in Lebanon, LBCI will be broadcasting a 30 second segment on the nightly news bulletin over a span of 16 days.

Zalfa, a character created by KAFA (Enough Violence & Exploitation), will be explaining the inner workings of the law against domestic violence in a bid to raise awareness on law 293.

In tonight's segment Zalfa says:

Once you request a restraining order you have to mention in it the form of violence you are being subject to and call for a decision that maintains your safety.

This decision prevents the aggressor from targeting you, your children or any citizen living with you or anyone who had offered to help you. This decision may also force the aggressor out of the home or transport you along with your children to a safe place.

Watch us tomorrow for further clarifications on the law against domestic violence.
