Ep14: KAFA's Zalfa says...
As part of our effort to shed light on women's rights in Lebanon, LBCI will be broadcasting a 30 second segment on the nightly news bulletin over a span of 16 days.

Zalfa, a character created by KAFA (Enough Violence & Exploitation), will be explaining the inner workings of the law against domestic violence in a bid to raise awareness on law 293.

In tonight's segment Zalfa says:

We have two kinds of restraining orders.

The first order does not include the protection of children alongside their mother since their age does not place them in her custody, according to the law against domestic violence.

In the second order, children may be kept with their mother if the judge considers that bearing witness to acts of domestic violence is a form of psychological abuse

Watch us tomorrow for further clarifications on the law against domestic violence.
