REPORT: Syria’s Druze reject compulsory military service

 

In the town of Salkhad, in the Druze province of Souweida, Syrian Druze citizens invaded the Recruitment Division and freed a young man, who was arrested by the Syrian regime forces for refusing the compulsory military service with the Syrian army.

The number of recruits for this service in the said province reaches 11 thousands, but less than one hundred have voluntarily joined.
