REPORT: Girl launches campaign to raise awareness about hair pulling disorder

Myriam Atallah does not have cancer, but suffers from a mental disorder known as Trichotillomania or hair pulling disorder characterized by the compulsive urge to pull out one's hair, leading to noticeable hair loss and balding, distress, and social or functional impairment.

In this regard, Myriam decided to launch a campaign to raise awareness about the said disorder, and shared a video on her Facebook page where she told her story with Trichotillomania.

As a result, thousands of people watched the video, leading those who suffer from the same disorder to contact her, share their experience and thank her for the initiative.
