VIDEO: Drivers escape scary crash into reservoir at Rally Mexico

M-Sport teammates Ott Tanak and co-driver Raigo Molder escaped unharmed after they slid off the road and crashed into a reservoir Friday (March 6) at Rally Mexico.

The Estonian pair were on Special Stage 3, near the city of Guanajuato, when their Fiesta WRC slid off the dirt road and rolled down an embankment into the water where their car sank as they swam to shore.

With both drivers unhurt, the M-Sport team will try to pull the car from the water and fix it in time for the second day of stages.

Volkswagen driver Sebastien Ogier leads the rally heading into day two.
