As part of its efforts to develop tourism in Lebanon, the Tourism Ministry organized its annual Mountain Trail March, which was launched by Minister Michel Pharaon.
The Lebanon Mountain Trail is the first long-distance hiking trail in Lebanon. It extends from Andaqt in North Lebanon to Marjaayoun in the south, a 470-km path that transects more than 75 towns and villages at altitude ranging from 600 meters to 2,000 meters above sea level.
Minister Pharaon also took part in the reforestation campaign organized by Ajyal Association for Development in Akkar, where 3,500 forest trees were planted in the region of Chwita.
