REPORT: Meeting held between families of abducted soldiers and relatives of the disappeared in Riad al-Solh
A meeting was held on Monday at Riad al-Solh Square between the families of the abducted soldiers and the Committee of the Families of the Kidnapped and Disappeared in Lebanon during the Civil War, in the presence of activists supporting the cause.

Mrs. Wadad Halwani, from the Committee of the Families of the Kidnapped and Disappeared, told LBCI that “they share the same pain with the families of the abducted soldiers.”

“We expressed our support and solidarity from day one, and the state has the duty of helping our cause by assuming full responsibility of freeing the hostages,” she added.

In this regard, another meeting will also be held outside the ESCWA building with the Support of Lebanese in Detention and Exile (SOLIDE), a Lebanese NGO that works with Lebanese communities in Lebanon and around the world on the cases of Lebanese victims of enforced disappearance, arbitrary detention and exile.
