The employees of Rafik Hariri governmental hospital staged Thursday a sit-in outside the Finance Ministry to protest against the delay in paying their salaries, urging the authorities to pay them their due wages, "which is the minimum of their duties.”
The employees noted that the ideal way to reach stability and sustainability at governmental hospitals is through granting the employees tenure at the state’s administration.
The protesters urged Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil to support any proposal that leads to the payment of their salaries.
The Bir Hassan based state hospital has long been the scene of protests held by employees who continuously complain of lack of amenities at the health facility.
