REPORT: UN’s Brown seeks to raise money to help Syrian refugee students in Lebanon

300,000 Syrian refugee students in Lebanon are awaiting their chance to enter schools in the next academic year.

“Race”, a project launched by the Education Ministry, enabled over 100,000 Syrian students to enroll in Lebanese schools last year.

In order to allow another 100,000 students to enter schools, United Nations Special Envoy for Global Education, Gordon Brown, visited Lebanon and announced that efforts will be exerted in order to raise another $100 million within 100 days.
