REPORT: Antonine University students protest tuition increase

Students from the Free Patriotic Movement and the Lebanese Forces party staged Thursday a symbolic sit-in at the Antonine University in Baabda, to protest against a decision to increase tuition fees.

During the protest, the students called on the university’s administration to “reduce the fees in accordance with the current standard of living in the country.”

Meanwhile, the university closed the gates banning students or reporters from accessing the campus.
