REPORT: Berri says waste dossier “prey” of sectarian disputes

House Speaker Nabih Berri stated on Wednesday that Lebanon is passing through an exceptional transitional phase, noting that officials should be wise enough to navigate accordingly.

During the Wednesday periodic meeting, Speaker Berri noted that the waste dossier could have been previously resolved, stressing that “even the file of waste in Lebanon has fallen prey to sectarian disputes.“

In this regard, Berri stressed that constitutional institutions should assume their responsibilities in a bid to serve the better interest of Lebanese citizens.
