REPORT: Lebanese lawyers protest to support judicial independence
A number of attorneys staged a sit-in on Thursday, as they abstained from attending trial sessions for an hour (from 11 am to 12 pm) in order to voice support for the independence of the judicial system.

In this regard, one of the attorneys told LBCI that their protest aims at expressing the judiciary’s keenness on carrying out its duties without any intervention.

The move came upon a decision issued by Beirut’s Bar Association.
