House Speaker Nabih Berri assured on Wednesday that the atmosphere during the meeting of the parliament’s bureau was positive and encouraging, adding that another meeting will be held next Tuesday in preparation for a legislative session.
On another note, deputies quoted Speaker Berri as saying that dialogue sessions are important, emphasizing that these sessions should continue at the national level and also among Hezbollah and Future Movement officials in the presence of Amal Movement representatives.
Regarding the pressing waste crisis, Berri told deputies that resolving this matter has become mandatory, emphasizing that a solution can no longer be delayed.
Meanwhile, Minister Akram Chehayyeb said from Ain El-Tineh that Speaker Berri and Prime Minister Tammam Salam support a swift solution for the waste crisis, adding that he will cooperate with Health Minister Wael Abou Faour in a bid to find a solution.
For his part, Minister Abou Faour noted that Berri presented suggestions that require the convention of a cabinet session within 24 hours.
