Kuwait Airways suspended Saturday flight number 502 that was scheduled to land in Beirut and flight number 501 that was scheduled to depart from Beirut and land in Kuwait.
Kuwait’s decision comes after Beirut’s airport authorities received an official communication from the Russian navy requesting the country to shut down its airspace in the interest of civil aviation safety as the Russian military exercises would affect planes arriving to and taking off from the airport.
Consequently, Kuwait Airways reiterated the need to take precautions in a bid to guarantee the safety of its passengers.
