REPORT: Sudanese refugees call on UNHCR to reopen their files

Sudanese refugees called on the authorities to reopen their files and grant them the status of refugees so they can travel and benefit from the assistance provided by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

The Sudanese nationals staged a protest outside the UNHCR offices in Jnah.

In turn, the UN organization said that these nationals are not refugees but “normal immigrants”, noting that they cannot benefit from the privileges of the refugees.
