Syrian refugees between adaptation and failed attempts at normality

Syrian refugees who fled to Turkey are trying to live a “normal” life despite their misery.

In Yayla Daghi camp, situated on the Turkish-Syrian borders, the refugees turned the zone into a residential area where they practice their daily routine activities.

The Syrian citizens who had to leave their homes and their properties behind, managed to open grocery and bakery stores in their “temporary” neighborhood to make a living and create an atmosphere of "normality".

One Syrian refugee who sells fruits and vegetables says that the camp’s prices are even more expensive that the prices outside the camp.

The Syrian refugees are doing their best to adapt to change in the Turkish camps since their return to their homeland seems impossible for the time being.
