Beirut Port Grain Silos head: All necessary measures were taken to protect flour from moisture
A delegation dispatched by the Ministry of Economy toured on Friday the Beirut Sports City where tons of flour donated by Iraq are stored.

This as General Manager at Beirut Port Grain Silos Assaad Haddad said that all necessary measures were taken to protect bags of flour from moisture, noting that “the flour is distributed free of charge to bakeries so that the price of a bundle of bread remains 2,000 LBP."

“Had it not been for this aid, the price of a bundle of bread would have reached 3000 LBP, and we seek to maintain the current price unchanged for as long as possible," he added.

Haddad concluded by saying that cooperation with the food attaché at the Iraqi embassy is ongoing.
