REPORT: Syrian refugees' conditions aggravate on the heels of winter

A number of Syrian refugees who fled to Lebanon found shelter in the valleys of Al Kaa town in the Bekaa.

Most of these displaced people left their homes in Homs and are currently living in tents.

Their living conditions are miserable, especially on the heels of winter, but at least they're safe from the clashes erupting in their homeland.

One of the refugees was living in a rented humble house but he told LBCI that he's considering moving into a tent because he can no longer afford the rental fees.

In this context, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights reported that more than 100,000 Syrian refugees have been registered so far in Lebanon.

For their part, Al Kaa residents said that they have welcomed the refugees, however the economic crisis is affecting everyone and is aggravating the situation.
