Introduction to the evening news 21-11-2012

According to the Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammad Kamel Amr who held a joint press conference with US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, the Gaza ceasefire truce between Israel and Hamas takes effect tonight at 9pm.

The ceasefire is the result of long diplomatic talks, in which Egypt played a major role along with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and US Secretary Clinton.

In this context, Reuters news agency reported that the truce agreement includes the end to 'assassinations' and 'incursions' and will also ease the movement of the Palestinians.

This agreement comes after a day of bloodshed , during which Israel attacked more than 100 targets in Gaza, among them governmental premises.

This as, an explosion targeted a bus in Tel Aviv, recording the first bomb attack since 2011 when Jerusalem Bus Station was the target.

According to Israeli military sources, the number of strikes on Gaza has reached 1500 since last Wednesday, while 1466 rockets were fired from Gaza and 421 of them succeeded in breaching the  Israeli Iron Drome.

All these developments and more in our detailed news bulletin.
