Introduction to the evening news 24-11-2012

Maronite Patriarch Mar Beshara Boutros Rai was finally appointed Cardinal.

This is the second papal “blessing” on Lebanon after the Pope’s visit to Beirut last September and the announcement of the Apostolic Exhortation.

Away from Rome, Egypt is now facing the repercussions of its revolution, as protesters are objecting Morsi issuing a decree that expanded his powers.

In Syria, the crisis aggravates as Turkey expected NATO to make a decision about deploying surface-to-air Patriot missiles along its southern border with the Syrian state.

In Lebanon, Pac dismissed employees organized a protest outside the company’s offices in Kfaryasin to reclaim the payment of their unpaid salaries and compensations.
