Aboul Gheit tours Lebanese leaders - [REPORT]
Arab League Chief Ahmed Aboul Gheit said on Monday that he found President Michel Aoun to be very determined to hold the elections in order to stabilize and repair Lebanon's conditions.

The Secretary-General of the League of Arab States spoke after a meeting with President Aoun at the Baabda Presidential Palace, during which they discussed the displaced Syrians' file.

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received later on Monday at the headquarters of the second presidency in Ain al-Tineh, the Secretary-General of the Arab League with the accompanying delegation, in the presence of the League's ambassador to Lebanon.

Aboul Gheit explained that the conversation touched on the Lebanese situation and said: “I found him very determined to hold the elections on time, which I observed with the Lebanese leadership, whether the President of the Republic or the Prime Minister. I found that he has a clear vision regarding what is required, and in my estimation, as soon as the elections are held, the presidential elections will take place, and then a prime minister and a new Lebanese government will be appointed.
