Introduction to the evening news 29-12-2012

International mediator who has struggled to end Syria's conflict said on Saturday that the alternative to a political process is "hell".  

Meanwhile, the displaced Syrian citizens are living the hell of finding a shelter in both Jordan and Lebanon.  

In India, the 23-year-old medical student who suffered the hell of being gang raped and beaten on a bus in New Delhi nearly two weeks ago, died in hospital after her vital signs deteriorated.  

This horrible incident does not only concern the state of India but the whole world, including Lebanon.  

The Lebanese people remain silent to marital rape and reduced sentences for the "crimes of honor". They don't stand for stopping domestic violence neither for giving Lebanese women their right to grant their children their nationality.  

Social injustice in Lebanon does not only concern women.  The bodies of two persons who froze to death were found this morning.    

This as, the chairman of a local TV station sought judicial procedures to prohibit other stations from publishing the story of a conflict between a media institution and a local singer, destroying by this step "what it's left of the press freedom."
