Finance Minister: To adopt LBP 15,000 exchange rate to the greenback for taxes on imported goods as of 01/12/2022-[VIDEO]

Caretaker Finance Minister Youssef Khalil stressed on Wednesday in a press conference that he had sent a letter from the Ministry of Finance to the Banque du Liban to approve the exchange rate of LBP 15,000 to the US dollar regarding the fees and taxes that the Customs Administration will collect on imported goods as of 01/12/2022.

He pointed out that this decision will help reduce price differences and losses incurred by the treasury.
