REPORT: Lebanon gets ready ahead of a heavy storm

A powerful storm began lashing Lebanon. Heavy rains and snow are expected to fall during the following days.

Staring Tuesday morning, the weather will see heavy rainfall and storms, with a significant drop in temperature, and snowfall at an altitude of 700 m.

In Faraya, 8 snow bulldozers are being equipped to open the roads once they will be blocked by snow.

For their part, Civil Defense units are busy undertaking preparations ahead of the storm.

This as, the residents of the mountains are saving heating supplies for the cold days. Their only concern is transferring a patient to the hospital.

We would like to remind the Lebanese citizens that the Civil Defense hotline is: 125. Don’t hesitate to contact them in case of emergency or to report an accident.
