ISF will conduct alcohol tests, redeploy speed radars for NYE

According to relevant information, the security forces will set up checkpoints on New Year's Eve to conduct alcohol tests. Speed radars will also be deployed to mitigate and prevent traffic accidents.

During the holidays, military preparations for the holidays were stepped up in all Lebanese regions. On Christmas Eve, the Internal Security Forces (ISF) were stationed at the entrances to churches to provide security and safety for the people.

Simultaneously, the Lebanese army increased its readiness to 90 percent in all regions; the army and security forces carried out military deployments with patrols, mobile checkpoints, reinforcement of fixed sites, and searches of vehicles and people. Thus, the army and security forces arrested numerous suspects and perpetrators.

Moreover, deployment covered all areas, although some received more significant deployment and security-related measures than others based on the situation. For instance, shootings happen in all Lebanese regions. Still, they occur more frequently in Tripoli, thus, intensifying the city's security measures and surroundings was a must.
