Lebanon's Charbel Rizk elected Secretary General of the West Asian Basketball Association
Confidence in Lebanese basketball is being restored, not only through the achievements of Lebanese teams but also through its technical staff, specifically the members of the Lebanese Basketball Federation, who are keen to keep up their hard work to showcase Lebanon in the best way in international forums.

This effort is translated today through the election of the General Secretary of the Lebanese Basketball Federation, Charbel Rizk, as Secretary General of the West Asian Basketball Association, after seven countries participated in the electoral process, including Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Yemen, Iran and Palestine.

The meeting of the General Assembly included a presentation discussing the situation of basketball in West Asia on several levels, highlighting the challenges faced in the past years, the achievements the players have achieved, and the projects that must be worked on to develop the game.

From these results, Lebanese basketball is confirming its leading role and awaiting a new opportunity to shine with matches that will bring together the men's team in the seventh window of the World Cup qualifiers with two of the biggest teams, namely the Philippines and New Zealand, participating.
