REPORT: Disagreement between the Future Bloc and its allies

The Kataeb Party and the LF announced that they will be participating in the meeting of the Joint parliamentary committee despite their common decision on boycotting any activity that the Cabinet participates in.

The Kataeb and LF participation comes in light of the Future Movement's boycott to the committee.

In this context, Future Bloc MP Jamal Jarrah told LBCI that the Future Movement is boycotting the Joint committee's meeting since it will not succeed in ratifying a new electoral law.

MP Jarrah said that an electoral law will not separate between March14 forces.

For his part LF MP Antoine Zahra told LBCI that he suggests that the joint committee's meeting on Wednesday reauthorizes the work of the parliamentary sub-committee in order to agree on an electoral law.

Zahra added that despite the differences in points of view, what unites March14 forces is more than an electoral law.
