Informed security sources reported to LBCI that an inmate affiliated to Fateh Al-Islam and known as "Abu Aabida" attacked on Friday a lieutenant colonel in the Free Syrian Army and attempted to kill him inside the Roumieh Prison.  Accordingly, the security forces intervened and  transferred the Lt. colonel outside the prison.

Judge Dany Zeenni who works under the supervision of State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr, interrogated the Lt. colonel who reported that his conflict with Fateh Al-Islam inmates began when they announced that they have joined the Qaeda affiliated group "Jabhat Al-Nusra" that wishes to form an Islamic emirate in both Syria and Lebanon, accusing the Free Syrian Army of blasphemy for planning on forming a civil state.

The prisoner added that he was repeatedly attacked by Fateh Al-Islam inmates, reiterating  that inmate Salim Saleh, known as "Abu Turab" holds a gun that he places on his waist and that a Libyan detainee fabricates explosives inside the prison. He also emphasized that the prisoners who declared their allegiance to Jebhat Al-Nusra organization are in contact with several Lebanese groups across Lebanon.

Investigations continue to verify the credibility of the Lt. colonel's statements.
