REPORT: Thai couples hold their marriage underwater

Couples in Thailand decided to celebrate their wedding  12 meters underwater off the beach in the city of Trang in southern Thailand.

Instead of wearing the traditional white dress and tuxedo, the newlyweds put on diving suits and oxygen tanks that weighed more than 20 kilograms.

Guided by a diving instructor, the bride and groom gestured their "I do", and  received a marriage certificate from an underwater wedding witness. A couple even shared a kiss underwater.

The organizer of these weddings  was the first to hold an underwater wedding ceremony that took place 18 years ago between him and his wife who met when they were diving to clear the rubbish tourists usually leave behind.

In 2001, the biggest underwater wedding was held in the same place and entered the Guinness World Records.
