REPORT: Communities celebrate Newroz festival in Beirut

Persians, Kurdish and Turkmen celebrated the Newroz festival which marks the first day of the lunisolar calendar, welcoming the new Iranian Solar Hijri year 1392.

This report will examine the way these communities celebrated their holiday in Beirut, as they exchanged greetings and wishes and danced, waving with Kurdish flags and slogans supporting the Kurdish parties.
