REPORT: Palestinians stage rally as Israel celebrates Independence Day

The ‘Palestinians of 48’ confirmed that the “Israeli Independence Day is the same as the ‘Nakba’ [catastrophe] for their people”, stressing that they have the right to return to their lands.

The Palestinians launched their call while the Israelis were celebrating 65 years of independence, in order to remind the world that there are still homeless Palestinians and that peace cannot be achieved without returning to their nation.

This report will highlight the rally staged by the Palestinians on this occasion, as well as the positions of activists and officials regarding the current situation of the Palestinian refugees amid the turmoil raging over the region.
