REPORT: Israel simulates exercise code “Turning Point 7,” says situation requires more defense

Israeli security and rescue forces simulated a chemical attack on Israel on Wednesday, as part of the three-day exercise code-named "Turning Point 7".

The drill is meant to prepare Israeli citizens for a range of scenarios including those involving unconventional weapons.

The drill comes amid the spiraling situation in Syria coupled with a fear of Iran's nuclear ambitions and its development of long-range missiles.

This report will examine the exercise code carried out by the Israeli army as well as the stance of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who called on ministers to refrain from giving statements regarding the Syrian weapons and mentioned that the current situation requires more defense from the Israeli side.
