Pasta is a dish famously loved by students because it's cheap and easy to make.
However, we've not been cooking it correctly and often doing a grave mistake, which is adding olive oil to the boiling water, thinking that this trick should prevent the pasta or spaghetti from sticking together in a massive clump.
Celebrity chef Fabio Viviani, however, wants us to put down the olive oil and step away from the boiling pasta.
The 38-year-old author and TV personality told Business Insider says: “I think the stupidest thing I have ever heard about making pasta is people who waste olive oil in the water so the pasta doesn't stick."
"That's a lie, it's wasteful, and you should be ashamed of yourself. You should be there stirring your pasta, which doesn't make it stick anyway."
