[VIDEO] Woman Reacts In Horror As Cop Accidentally Shoots Himself
A Kentucky police officer is recovering from wounds after unintentionally shooting himself in an elevator over the weekend.

Cincinnati police told WCPO that Erlanger Officer Darryl Jouett was returning to his car after having dinner with his wife when the incident took place on Saturday.

In video released on Monday, Jouett can be seen getting inside an elevator with a woman. He holds a box with one hand while trying to adjust his pistol with his other hand. After fumbling with the pistol several times, it appears to discharge into his stomach.

The woman in the elevator instantly covers her ears while Jouett and his pistol fall to the floor. After being shocked for a moment, Jouett’s fast thinking companion reaches for her cell phone to call for help. Cincinnati police described Jouett’s injuries as non-life threatening.
