• Caretaker Minister Abou Faour: Security roadmap to be implemented soon

Ministerial sources told Al-Liwaa newspaper on Saturday that a security roadmap is being planned by military forces to restore peace and order in the country.

Sources added that the roadmap includes the Dahieh region in coordination with the political leaders and Hezbollah leadership.

Caretaker Minister of Social Affairs Wael Abou Faour told the Daily that the security roadmap must be fully implemented in all Lebanese regions.

• Caretaker Minister Charbel:  ISF to start deploying in the Dahieh region on Monday

Caretaker Minister of Interior Marwan Charbel told An-Nahar newspaper on Saturday that the Internal Security Forces will deploy on Monday in the Dahieh region.

Charbel  added that such step aims at replacing the checkpoints established by Hezbollah in the Dahieh suburbs after the two explosions that took place in the region.

According to the Daily, the caretaker Minister said that Hezbollah is speeding up the process to hand over the security of the suburbs to the new unit.

• Lebanon is pinning hopes on meeting of the International Group to Support Lebanon-sources

Sources told Al-Liwaa newspaper on Saturday that Lebanon is pinning hopes on  the meeting of the  International Group to Support Lebanon set to be held on the 25th of September in New York on the sidelines of United Nations General Assembly.

Sources slammed media outlets reports saying that Lebanon may ask the International Community loans to address the crisis of Syrian refugees flocking into the country.

According to the Daily, Lebanon will also ask world powers to support the Lebanese economy and the Lebanese Armed Forces.

• Terrorist groups plan to launch attacks in Lebanon-sources

Sources told Al-Anbaa newspaper on Saturday that the Lebanese security apparatuses obtained information over terrorist groups planning to launch attacks in several Lebanese regions.

Sources added that the terrorist groups aim also at assassinating political leaders and religious figures and targeting Lebanese civilians.

According to the Daily, regional powers took the decision to foment security chaos in the country.
