• UN Chief Ban Ki-moon: UN deploying efforts to maintain Lebanon's stability

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon told An-Nahar newspaper on Tuesday that the International Support Group for Lebanon aims at assisting the country in facing the repercussions of the Syrian crisis.

He also noted that the UN is deploying all possible efforts to maintain Lebanon's peace and stability amid the regional turmoil.

According to the Daily, President Michel Sleiman pledged the United Nations Chief and the International Community to maintain the stability of the Lebanese institutions.

• International Envoy Brahimi: Syrian crisis is witnessing "positive developments"

The international envoy for Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi told As-Safir newspaper on Tuesday that the Syrian crisis is witnessing "positive developments."

He also noted that "high level meetings" are being held to find a solution for the bloodshed taking place in Syria.

According to the Daily, Brahimi stressed that the International Community is showing great concern to spare Lebanon the repercussions of the Syrian crisis.

• Caretaker Minister Mansour calls for "delinking Lebanese internal issues with foreign affairs"

Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs Adnan Mansour told As-Safir newspaper on Tuesday that the meetings of International Support Group for Lebanon will tackle the humanitarian, economic, security and political repercussions of the Syrian crisis on Lebanon.

He also called for separating the failure in forming a new government from the meetings set to be held in New York, urging for "delinking the Lebanese internal issues from foreign affairs."

• Future bloc MP Fatfat hails deployment of security forces in the Dahieh region

Future bloc MP Ahmad Fatfat told Al-Liwaa newspaper on Tuesday that Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah accused the March 14 alliance of hindering the dialogue table in Monday's speech.

MP Faftfat slammed such accusations, also lashing out at Nasrallah's calls to form a "national unity government."

According to the Daily, MP Fatfat hailed the deployment of the Security Forces in the Dahieh region, urging the Lebanese state to arrest fugitives who resorted to hiding in the said region.
