MP Kanaan says dialogue between FPM and LF is kept under wraps

Change and Reform bloc MP Ibrahim Kanaan told An-Nahar Kuwaiti newspaper on Sunday that the dialogue between the Lebanese Forces and the Free Patriotic Movement is kept under wraps.

Kanaan noted that the talks are serious, stressing that they are tackling all political choices made by both sides since the Taef accord.

For his part, LF media official Melhem Riachi said that the dialogue between the two Christian leaders will have a positive impact on the country.

Riachi noted that the talks are kept under wrap, stressing that thirty years of political rivalry should be transformed to political competition.

There is no supply line to armed groups in Ras Baalbek-military source

A military source told al-Hayat newspaper on Sunday that there is no supply line to the armed groups in Ras Baalbek or anywhere else.

The same source noted that the Lebanese Armed Forces soldiers are deployed in Tallet al-Hamra in Ras Baalbek to defend the Lebanese territory.

According to the daily, the source stressed that the army withdrew the bodies of 11 terrorists that were killed in the gunbattles and transported them to the Hermel governmental hospital, including the body of a Free Syrian army officer.

Minister Fneish: Hezbollah has enough wisdom to choose right response to Israeli strike in Quneitra

Sources told al-Anbaa newspaper on Sunday that Hezbollah fully understands the concerns of the Lebanese leaders over the armed party’s response to the Israeli strike in Syria’s Quneitra.

The same sources added that State Minister Mohammad Fneish said during Thursday’s cabinet session that the Resistance has enough wisdom to choose “a response that takes into consideration Lebanon’s interests.”
