Hassan Youssef, father of kidnapped Lebanese soldier Mohammad Youssef disclosed on Sunday details of the meeting between abducted soldier Abdel Rahim Diab and members of his family.

In this regard, Youssef told Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that the said meeting which was held in the presence of 2 Islamic State members lasted only for 20 minutes.

He also noted that Diab’s mother reported to relatives of abducted soldiers that her son is living in a tragic situation, stressing that the Islamic State did not allow her to meet the other kidnapped soldiers.

Youssef also said that Diab’s mother suffered a nervous breakdown after her return from the mountainous region of Arsal.

 

Ministerial sources reported to Al-Hayat newspaper that there isn't any ready idea to be adopted as a new mechanism for decision-making at the cabinet, adding that negotiations to agree on a new means have been ongoing over the past few months.

The sources also noted that Prime Minister Tammam Salam granted ministers the chance to agree on a new mechanism after holding talks with all Lebanese factions.
