In a talk to
An-Nahar newspaper, PM Najib Mikati mentioned
that the government is keen on fiscal balance and is providing the necessary
funding for the series of ranks and salaries.
Mikati stressed that there are no expenditures without imports.
He also pointed out that the issue of providing funding sources
is being studied by concerned ministries, and that he will soon be calling for a meeting to be held at the Grand Serail to discuss socioeconomic issues facing the country.
Al-Akhbar newspaper mentioned
on Tuesday that Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri sent a letter to
the Chief of the Lebanese Forces party Samir Geagea in which he asked
him to stop
raising the issue of the electoral law at Parliament as to not provoke the head of
the National Struggle Front MP Walid
Jumblatt.
Hariri also mentioned that the Future Movement
can't choose between MP Walid Jumblatt and
Samir Geagea.
As-Safir newspaper mentioned that the Lebanese President who
is chairing the Arab group to South America-Arab Summit in Lima
will propose on Tuesday the initiative of establishing a Secretariat for the
Summit in Beirut.
The newspaper also mentioned that the President will present means to
prevent the defamation of religions and prophets
especially that the member countries in this summit are both Christian and
Muslim.

As-Safir learned that
the Lima Declaration is made up of 2 themes.
The first theme is political in which it
calls for dialogue to resolve political disputes and among them, the Syrian crisis.
As for the second theme it is related to
setting an agenda divided upon various sectors to strengthen cooperation
between the divisions of education, social affairs, trade, science and
technology, culture and environment.
According to
Al-Akhbar newspaper, families of the Lebanese detainees in Syria started
preparing files that prove a link between the kidnappers and the Turkish
authorities.
The file
includes documents, pictures, and video records that prove the profound links
between the kidnappers and the Turkish security services.
Sources mentioned to
Al-Akhbar that as soon as
these families finish preparing the file, they will raise a lawsuit against
Turkey before the European courts, and will seek ways to resort to the European
Court of Human Rights.
Come every Tuesday, everyone’s attention diverts towards the Parliament where the
joint parliamentary committees continue discussing the electoral law.

Al-Joumhouria mentioned that today's session will be similar to the previous
one; discussions that previously started will continue especially that the
number of deputies participating in these discussions has exceeded 15 deputies.
Al-Akhbar newspaper
mentioned on Tuesday that a state of objection prevails among a number of
judges in the south because they consider the disciplinary decisions
issued against them as unjust.
Judges expressed their
objection in a statement that accused political references of failing to
regularize their statuses.
Within this framework, and
before issuing the judicial configurations, political figures in the city of
Tyre raised a petition to the Speaker Nabih Berri urging him to support a judge
who was recently been removed from office.
