Putin says Russian-Iranian relationship is developing positively

Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the development of relations with Tehran, during his meeting with his Iranian counterpart Ibrahim Raisi on the sidelines of a regional summit on Thursday.

"On the bilateral level, cooperation is developing positively," Putin said.

His remarks come as Moscow tries to use the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting, which is being hosted by Uzbekistan, to show that it is not isolated internationally despite the conflict in Ukraine.
