A severe winter storm with an arctic cold has hit the United States and Canada, leaving the region with extreme weather conditions. 

Huge chunks of ice covered many cities as the storm brought inches of snow, causing traffic problems and leaving many houses without power. 

The blizzard has turned the region into a winter wonderland despite its harshness. Striking photos and videos show the massive winter storm transforming many cities into picturesque scenes out of a dream world. 

Dubbed the “blizzard of the century,” the storm almost completely froze the famous Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada, into an icy wonderland straight out of a fairytale movie.
