VIDEO: Argentinian football legend slaps reporter

Former Argentinian football player Diego Maradona was filmed slapping a journalist on the face in Buenos Aires on Saturday as he was leaving an event with his family.

Fans and members of the media had surrounded the car to take pictures when Maradona got out of it and confronted a journalist, slapping him on the face and calling him an idiot.

It was not immediately clear why Maradona struck the journalist, who had no instant reaction to the gesture.

Speaking from inside his car, the former international football player told journalists that he was celebrating Children's Day with his son.
